ASP Assignment The desert survival problem

We discussed what is important items forsurvival. First, individual score is 86,and I thought water is the most important thing,and the least important item is "plastic rain coat". I couldn`t notice the different useful usage of the rain coat. Second, group score is 62,and in our group,we thought it is a good idea to stay here, and I think so too.We think "overcoat" is important because it can help people keep warm at night. Finally, the teacher told us the "official ranking"that cosmetic mirror is the most important item. I was surprised to hear that because I think it is impossipoble to reach the light to helicopter. I think it is too difficult to save in my opinion.

ASP Discussion The Mine

In my group, we think we have to help children at first, and women, men, and older people. We also emphasize thier backgrounds and age. We think the rich and the scientist influence many people, so we have to help them at once, and besides children and young people have a future. However, we couldn`t have a critical thinking. When I listened to a critical thinking, I disagreed with the opinion because I don`t think it is the best order to help people. In the idea, Mike is the second, but I think he have to lead and help people in the mine because he may know how to deal with the emergency matters and practiced when he was a soldier. If he have gone up in the beginning, people in the mine will be panicked. Accordingly, it isn`t a good order to help him at first.

First, the movie of the punishment is so terrible, but it is a joke. However, I think it is bad to punish people who can`t speak in a discussion. People around them should advise and give a chance to speak instead of punishing.

Second, there are some problems in the bad discussion. First, people didn`t concentrate on listening to other`s opinions. Some poeple insisted on just thier opinions, some poeple looked bored, some people didn`t think. Each members did different things. Second, some people spoke emotional. It is difficult for others to understand well. When we talk about thier opinions in a discussion, they should be more calm. On the other hand, in the good discussion they listened other`s ideas carefully, saw person`s face who was talking, said agreeing,disagreeing,and confirming expressions, the leader said summary and conclusion. In the first place, all members tried to have a good discussion.

Third, the movies of Mr. Tanaka, I noticed that I might have said the reactions like that unconsciously before, so next time I take care in speaking, and try to use English confirming expressions.

I think we all should try to speak their opinions positively in order to have a good discussion. If we do that, a discussion will continue smoothly, and we can hear many different ideas.However, it is difficult to say many ideas at first because we need to have a lot of vocabulary and have many opinions and ideas by myself,but if we often discuss any topics with our friends or teachers,and always think about anything, we will be able to speak more and come up with ideas easily. I think it is nice to have a good discussion.

In our group, some of us agree with the opinion because chrildren will think that studying English is not so difficult if they study English by singing a song or remembering easy English words.However, some of us disagree with the opinion because children will not understand the meaning of studying English, and it is so tough to study every day.
In my opinion, I disagree with the opinion because I think children will forget English words or sentences soon because they won`t understand the meaning well, and I also think that it is more important for children to play outside with thie friends.
